Say Cheese: PETCO Foundation Searches for Photogenic Pets for Contest
San Diego (Vocus) June 7, 2007 -- The search is on for America's most picture-perfect pets during the PETCO Foundation's 2008 Calendar Pet Photo Contest. The contest, now underway, will name 15 winners who will be featured in the PETCO Foundation 2008 Making a Difference calendar.
Contestants can visit www.petcofoundation.org to submit their photos, where they will be housed and voted on by the public. Voters will narrow the field and then a panel of PETCO judges will choose the final winners. All winners will be featured in the 2008 calendar - to be sold in PETCO stores nationwide and on PETCO.com - as well as other great prizes.
"The calendar is not only a great way to raise money to support the PETCO Foundation's mission of helping animals across the country, but also a wonderful collection of personal stories, many of which involve adopted animals," says PETCO Foundation National Development Coordinator Tracie Plefka.
In addition to submitting a photo of their pet, contestants will submit a description, of up to 450 characters, telling why their pet makes a difference in their life.
For official rules and more information visit www.petcofoundation.org. Participants must enter by June 30, 2007.
